1Free service

Palimpalem's free service includes server space for hosting your website, plus the tools required to create, edit and modify it. Palimpalem may display ads at its discretion on free pages.

Services that require features not included in the free plan (additional space, ad removal, custom domain) are governed by the specific terms in section 7.

In both cases, by using Palimpalem you unreservedly accept the following terms.

2Reservation of rights

Palimpalem reserves the right to:

• Modify the general or particular terms of use at any time.
• Temporarily suspend the service for maintenance, security or other reasons.
• Modify the features or limitations of the free service.
• Cancel or moderate pages that violate these terms.
• Refuse registration or modify the service modalities.

3Activation and registration

To use the service you must register with a username and a valid email address. You will receive your initial password via that email, and you can change it at any time from the Control Centre.

You may not use the service without having accepted these terms. Any data you provide will be processed according to our Privacy Policy.

Once registered, you can choose a design template to create your page. The public address of your website will include your username.

4General terms of use

A. Legal capacity

To use Palimpalem you must have legal capacity to enter into contracts. Minors under 18 require the express authorisation of their guardians. Use of the service is at your own responsibility.

B. Nature of the service

Palimpalem is solely a hosting and tools service for creating websites. We assume no responsibility for the content you publish. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your content.

C. Relationships with third parties

Palimpalem does not participate in relationships or transactions between users or with third parties. In the event of any dispute, we are not obliged to intervene.

D. User content

We assume no responsibility for the content you publish on your pages or for public comments. We try to remove illegal content as soon as we become aware of it.

• Obscene, abusive, defamatory, offensive, sexually explicit or illegal content.
• Any form of pornography or child sexual exploitation.
• Xenophobic, racist, religiously hateful content or content inciting violence.
• Racial, ethnic or personal harassment or disparagement.
• Adult services or dating ads.
• Promotion of weapons, drugs or illegal substances.
• Material protected by intellectual property rights without authorisation.
• Disclosure of personal data without consent.
• Sale of illegal products.
• Pyramid schemes, chain letters or fraud.
• Attack programs or unauthorised security testing.
• SPAM, mail-bombing or unsolicited bulk email.

F. Actions on violations

If we detect a violation of these terms, we may take appropriate legal action, including the immediate removal of content and/or the termination of the account.

5Particular terms of use

• Advertising: On free pages, only Palimpalem may insert advertising. Inserting your own banners or using tools to remove Palimpalem's ads is prohibited.
• Storage: Space may only be used for files directly accessible from the website, not as private storage.
• Software and cracks: Publishing software, cracks or keys that violate intellectual property rights is prohibited.
• Third-party rights: Any use that violates third-party rights or infringes applicable law is prohibited.
• Inactivity: Prolonged inactivity of your account will be interpreted as abandonment of the registration.
• Transfer and access: Palimpalem monitors traffic abuse to ensure the proper operation of the service. We make reasonable efforts to ensure access but are not liable for interruptions caused by external factors.
• Intellectual property: Palimpalem's own content (interface, code, brand, templates) is protected by intellectual and industrial property rights.
• Content licence: By uploading content to your website, you grant Palimpalem a technical licence to host, display and process it as necessary to provide the service.
• Personal data: Any data provided is processed according to the Privacy Policy.
• Communications: You authorise Palimpalem to send you operational communications and, if you opt in, commercial messages by email.
• Termination: Failure to comply with any of these terms is sufficient cause for account termination.
• Forums and comments: Opinions expressed in forums or comments are the responsibility of their authors. Publishing abusive, obscene, vulgar, threatening or hateful material is prohibited.

7Terms for paid services

These terms govern services beyond the free plan: storage expansion, ad removal, Plus plan and domain registration.

7.1 Lawful use

You agree not to use the paid services for illegal purposes or in breach of these terms.

7.2 Access protection

You must protect your access against unauthorised use. Do not share your username and password with third parties.

7.3 Contract record

When purchasing a service, a record is created in your Control Centre with the type of service, activation date, validity and payment method.

7.4 Accuracy of data

You are responsible for the accuracy of the data you provide and agree not to submit false information.

7.5 Payment methods

Payments are processed via Stripe (credit/debit card) or bank transfer. Palimpalem is not responsible for claims arising from the payment process itself, which is governed by the provider's terms.

7.6 Withdrawal and cancellation

You may cancel the Plus plan by sending an email to within fourteen (14) calendar days after purchase, in accordance with the consumer right of withdrawal.

7.7 Fair Use

The term "unlimited" in the description of the Plus plan refers to generous but reasonable use for typical web projects. Indicative technical limits are 10,000 images and 500 pages per account. If you exceed them, we will contact you to find an individual solution. We reserve the right to restrict accounts that use the service abusively, for example as file-only storage.

8Domain name contract

8.1 Definitions

• Customer: Person who fills in the order form.
• Holder / Registrant: Person who acquires the right to use the domain name.
• Domain name (DN): String of characters identifying an IP address on the Internet.
• Registrar: Entity authorised by ICANN to manage domain names.
• ICANN: Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.
• WHOIS: Public tool providing information on domain ownership.

8.2 Subject of the contract

To regulate the terms for the registration, transfer and renewal of a domain name through MS SL, acting as intermediary between the customer and the Registrar.

8.3 Registration, transfer and renewal

MS SL carries out registration, transfer or registrar change of the domain and configures it to point to your website. Final allocation is the responsibility of the relevant Registry or competent body. The holder may not change registrar within 60 days of the initial registration.

8.4 Costs and payment

Current prices for registration, transfer and renewal, depending on the domain extension (.com, .es, .org, .net, .info, .eu, .online, .app, etc.), are published on our domain pricing page and are always clearly displayed before confirming the purchase.

Payment is in advance, by credit card (Stripe) or bank transfer. Prices include VAT and may be updated; the applicable rate is the one shown at the time of purchase.

8.5 Duration and renewal

The contract enters into force upon payment and is signed for a minimum period of one year. It is automatically renewed for yearly periods unless the customer objects with reasonable advance notice before expiry.

8.6 MS SL obligations

MS SL acts as intermediary before the competent bodies and is not liable for the actual registration of the domain for reasons beyond its control. MS SL may suspend or cancel the domain if it is used for SPAM or illegal activities.

8.7 Customer obligations

The customer agrees to act in good faith, is solely responsible for the choice of domain name and warrants that it does not infringe third-party rights. The customer must keep the email address operational for communications. Using the domain for illegal, violent or obscene content, cracks, SPAM, phishing, viruses or any unlawful purpose is prohibited.

8.8 Resolution of domain disputes

The customer accepts submission to the ICANN UDRP →. For .es domains, the rules of Red.es → apply, and for .eu those of EURid →.

8.9 Contract termination

The contract may be terminated by mutual agreement, breach of obligations, expiry without renewal or cessation of MS SL's activity. There will be no refund of amounts already paid for services rendered.

8.10 Applicable law and jurisdiction

This contract is governed by Spanish law. The parties submit to the courts of Madrid, unless mandatory consumer law provides otherwise.
